**missing** reward for safe return!

does anyone know what the hell happened to the courtesy wave?

yes, i know that people are in a big hurry to get on with their extreme lives and all that rot, but if another driver makes an extraordinary effort (or, really, any effort at all) to help you out on the road (ie: slowing down to let you get over into another lane, or waving to you to let you out of a parking lot) is it really that hard to halfway raise your hand to acknowledge that? seriously, put down your big mac, pause for a second in whatever obscenely important conversation you're having on your kyocera and make contact with another human being.

that is all

(this rant brought to you by the polite drivers of phoenix - all 5 of us)

  • I admit I have a bit of what one could deem a road "rage"-like problem... However! I do give rewards for those kind drivers out there...and sometimes *I* myself can be kind. I do get nasty when I am not acknowledged for kind driving behavior.

Notice most of the drivers out there in AZ are from Ohio...it is a distinct impaired driving issue you suffer out there. *sigh*

  • I ALWAYS do the courtesy wave. I usually smile sweetly when they pass/I pass too. I'm just painfully nice like that.

So I guess that makes me one of the 5, eh?
