just one FOX

and it's a good thing that there's just one FOX because otherwise i'd have to breakdown and get a TIVO for thursdays to record whatever was on the other FOX while i immerse myself in the supreme cheesiness that is "the O.C." (sidenote: for at least the first half of the first season, i resisted "the O.C." because i grew up in orange county, ca and happen to know for a fact that it's nothing like that - but eventually, i gave in so that i would have something to talk about with the sheeple at work and now i can't stop watching it)

but i digress

i really do love FOX and appreciate all that the little network that could has given me over the years; the simpsons, family guy, 90210, melrose place, models inc, arrested development, (ocassionally) malcolm in the middle, american idol, temptation island, paradise hotel and so many other countless hours upon hours of "quality" entertainment... but the swan has to stop - sure, it was fun at first, mocking disformed emotional train wrecks who get so excited when they are told that they are ugly enough to be on the show, then stand in front of the big red curtain before they get a peek at their newly gigantic boobs and freakishly inflated lips, but now, it's just kind of sad - maybe for the swan 3 (yes, it's coming up) they could have a twist (aren't reality shows famous for those?) and cast pretty people who can have intensive therapy and coaching to make them interesting, worthwhile members of society... can i nominate paris hilton as the first contestant? i'm sure she'd do it - lord knows that girl can't get enough publicity - how long will it be before she just sets herself on fire to get our attention?
