stuff, nonsense and way too many links

• this news story looks like something from the masterminds of "dead like me"
  
• only 2 shopping days left until my adorable little sister turns 25 (for those of you playing along at home, the quarter life crisis begins on thursday)
  
• one of my two remaining sea monkeys has either gotten herself pregnant, gotten a big tumor on her ass, or gotten a this mug? the worst part about the listing is that the irony of the whole thing seems to be lost on the seller
