Not even on casual day

Can you see the detail on this shirt? I mean, really see it? It's some kind of sunflower, I guess, but the design is in gold and silver, it was an iron-on... Posted by Hello

Here's the conversation on Christmas day -

my mom (proudly holding up the shirt): Could you wear this?
me: uh...
me (thinking): not in public
my mom: I did the iron on myself
me: uh... neat (please note: I only say "neat" when I mean it ironically, like - "oh, you like Clay Aiken? neat.")

So, yeah, I took the shirt, only because if I hadn't, my sister and brother and everyone my mom knows would have had to hear about how ungrateful I am. But now I have a shirt to wear when I turn 60 and start driving really slowly while wearing those big blue blocker sunglasses. Does anyone know where I can get some culottes to go with this?

  • Culottes? That's easy. The flea market in Fort Myers. Next time I'm down there, I'll pick you up a pair!

  • this was really funny Cate, esp the part about having a shirt to wear when you turn 60! classic.

  • Have you seen Napoleon Dynamite? I think the girl with the sideways ponytail would wear that shirt if it were only a pastel blue. Can you put your hair in a sideways ponytail?

  • I'm only wearing my hair in a sidepony tail if you promise to buy one of my keychains and let me do a portrait of you in the photography studio I have set up in my bedroom... (make a fist and bring it up slowly under your chin)

  • I don't have time. I'm too busy chatting with sweet babes all day long.
