I'm glad I got to know you this year!!!

(subtitle: my mom is a freak, part MMCXXX)

I got a storebought* card in the mail from my mom the other day that included a picture of my sister, my new sister-in-law and myself from the wedding**. Inside the card, she had scribbled something about how she would miss seeing me at the holidays and she was sorry that we didn't "spend more time together" when we lived in the same state.

I wonder if she has a book of leftover yearbook sayings that she's trying to use. I would like to direct your attention to this post, where she told me "keep in touch" when she was moving out of state. Who wants to bet that in the Christmas card I get from her, I get either "2 sweet + 2 be = 4gotten" or "Stay Sweet"?

* I point out that it's storebought because normally, she just prints up cutesy cards with cartoon kittens on them from her computer

** please note that our mom didn't take this picture, Julie snagged her camera and took several pictures of the wedding, since our mother seemed uninterested in getting pictures of the first time all her kids were together since 1995 or so
