One of these things is not like the others - One of these things just doesn't belong...

So, I'm watching a homogenized episode of "Sex and The City" on TBS and I see a commercial for "Earth to America", some big comedy show that somehow benefits the earth... Because there's nothing that's going to solve the world's problems better than some "Yo momma" jokes, right?

And they're listing all of the people performing, supposedly, the funniest people on the planet:

  • Will Ferrell - yes, definitely funny
  • Ben Stiller - okay, funny
  • Cedric the Entertainer - sure, he's got his moments
  • Jack Black - Yeah
  • Robin Williams - I guess spastic chimpanzees on crack find him amusing
  • Ray Romano - Everybody loves him, right?
  • Larry David - His show is supposed to be funny, but I just can't get into it
  • Steve Martin - Sure, okay
  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Yeah, I like her
  • Tom Hanks - Um... okay... well, he was in "Bosom Buddies", but I assumed that he wanted to put that behind him.
  • Leonardo DiCaprio - um... wha? Who... I mean... in what way... where do you think... how...? Whatever

  • You're missing out! You don't think Larry David is funny?!?!? Curb your enthusiasm is the best show on TV! If you like AD I don't know how you don't like curb, its the same type humor.

  • "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is great, but the last thing I want to do is hear a bunch of people who use more resources than 99.99% of the population lecturing me on being wasteful.

These are people who'll drive a Prius to their private jet hanger, and feel morally superior because of it.

Larry Flynt would do better lecturing us on the evil of lust.
