I can name that tune in 3 notes*

We're sitting in Wang II's (voted the best Chinese food in Savannah) enjoying some fine szechuan** cuisine and listening to instrumental muzak when I suddenly yell out "Oooh, this is 'I Will Always Love You'" and then I start singing along*** - then the next song was "I wanna know what love is" - they were kicking out the jams.



* alternate title: Why it's embarassing to be seen with me in public

** this is one of the words that my mom insists upon mispronouncing - she says "ssshhhej-you-wan" - another pronounciation gem of hers is "homosexual" - she can't just say that - she has to dip one shoulder down, lower her voice and say "hmmm-sexual"

*** It's generally acknowledged that I couldn't carry a tune in a Prada bag
