• It's one of those reliable linguistic markers that will still tell you culturally (proximally) where you are from. Ditto for Mom vs momma vs mum. There's whole lists of them that can reliably separate out speech patterns and locate you in your 'linguistic' space in a region. Thought you'd want to know.
