This afternoon, while driving to pick up the munchkin from school, I swooned when I saw this little old man dressed in a cute little suit, wearing a snappy fedora and driving a boat-sized car. I was thinking how cool it's going to be when I'm old and I get to hang out with other old people and dress in snazzy clothes, but then I realized that the old people of now are dressed like that because those were the clothes that were cool when they were the young people of then.Does this mean that when I'm an old person, all of the other oldsters and I are going to be wearing the clothes of today?
Because I don't think that the kids of then are going to be swooning over old men wearing baggy jeans, ironic t-shirts and trucker hats over their emo-combover haircuts.
And do you think I'm going to be able to get rid of the thought of faded, leathery old lady tramp stamp tattoos peeking over the tops of low-rise jeans? No, not so much. Because... yikes.
