a couple of things

  • i just love getting comments on my blog - LOVE it (stems from the fact that i like attention - seriously, if you ever want to irritate the hell out of me - and trust me, once you know me better, you will - just ignore me, nothing pisses me off more)

  • as much as i love comments, i love when someone links to me - it makes me feel special, and, yes, validated (low self esteem, thy name is cate)

  • every time i watch "oceans 11", it makes me want to 1) jump on george clooney and 2) go to vegas

  • my new tangerine orange zinger tea tastes like tang - hot tang (not to be confused with pootie tang) and it's good, in a mildly disturbing kind of way

  • i just got a writing assignment - my self-proclaimed "oldest and dearest friend", erik (admittedly, i have known [and adored] the guy since i was 15) has requested that i write the bio for his faux metal band (i know - faux metal - wtf? but a writing assignment is a writing assignment - i don't get paid, but i will be mentioned in the liner notes of the cd and I can never say 'no' to him)

  • the new dessert i have decided to invent for this holiday season is brownie truffle bites - basically, a yummy lump of brownie tucked inside a yummy truffle coating and then rolled in powdered sugar, cocoa, or sprinkles - all i have to do is figure out the semantics of the whole thing - like how to get the brownie into the truffle and how to not eat all of them prior to giving them to people...

  • I volunteer myself to taste those treats until you get them perfect. Then I will taste some more...

Seriously - you just made me cry a little Cate. Brownies INSIDE truffles in sheer perfection, and a little piece of heaven.

  • dare I ask what exactly faux metal is?? Do they play air guitars or something?

  • i wish i knew what faux metal was - it might make it easier for me to write the bio - the thing is that, from what i've heard, they sound like metal to me, but he says that they're really not metal, they're... different... thus the genre of faux-metal is born - i should trademark that phrase - if you want to hear some of the noise, go to http://www.myspace.com/worldoffrail - please note that the music expressed there is not music that i endorse or even (don't tell him i said so) listen to...

  • Well, we all like compliments, and I find linking to someone's page is a compliment. Plus, when you get a compliment, it's always nice to return the favour. Unless you're really disgusted by the other person! LOL!
