I have loved Johnny Depp since the "21 Jump Street" days (I have every episode on Beta - Beta! I've heard that they're now out on DVD, but that's not nearly as desperate and sad as Beta) - Even when Johnny has done weird and wacky things like dating Kate Moss or moving to France and having kids with that French singer chick, my devotion to him has not wavered. And when I saw "Pirates of the Caribbean", I fell in love all over again (savvy?)and
I have loved "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" for as long as I can remember - even the summer when my sister and I were at my dad's and she made me watch it every single day - I know every line of dialogue, every song, I can tell you where all the kids are from - To this day, I love this movie, it's just a great movie.
but
I don't know how I feel about the mixing of Johnny and Willy. What if two positives make a negative? I mean, I love chocolate and I love mustard, but I don't want them at the same time. On the other hand, I love chocolate and I love pretzels and, together, they make the perfect combination of sweet, salty and crunchy. I'm torn.
The only thing of which I am sure right now is that I don't like Johnny's haircut in the movie - it's that awful Dorothy Hammil bob from 1978.
