so i saw "polar express" last weekend... no, it wasn't my first choice (hell, it wasn't in my top 37) but i have a kid and christmas is coming up so what could i do? (and yes, i'll probably end up seeing the spongebob squarepants movie, too, okay? i don't want to talk about it)

but back to "polar express" - (oh, and i've never read the book, okay? so don't ask how they compare) sure, the computer animation was amazing (in the scenes with no people) and weirdly creepy (in any scene with a person) but what's up with tom hanks voicing half the characters?

seriously, tom, you've won academy awards, anything you touch turns to platinum, you seem to be a great guy, and we've all forgotten "bosom buddies" and "joe vs the volcano", now can you let some other actor have a role once in a while? please?
