The real reason I need a job

I sent out, like, infinity letters to agents begging them to like me enough to represent my work and, amidst the mountains of rejections, there were a couple agents who sent me wrong form letter and actually asked to see some sample chapters of my book - before they can realize their mistakes, I want to get the chapters out and, if I had a job, this would be no problem, printing, postage, it's all right there at your finger tips - being jobless, however, means that I have to sit at my printer for an hour and then actually wait in line at the post office to buy stamps. GOSH - talk about inconvenience!

interviewer: "Ms. Sheridan, why would you like to work here?"

me: "Unlimited access to office supplies... Um, I mean, because I'm passionate about customer service and have always been interested in the manufacturing process of those plastic bits on the ends of shoelaces... that's what you guys do here, right? I'm sorry, I haven't really been paying attention..."
