stole this from Beans - whom, (along with everyone else on the planet) I've been neglecting lately

01. if i could build a house anywhere - I'd say Savannah, because it's so purdy here, but I want to live in one of the wonderful historic houses here - so, if I had to build a house somewhere, it would maybe be Huntington Beach, CA, or Tuscany, or on the side of a lake in Seattle.

02. favorite article of clothing - pajamas, pajamas, pajamas - that's my uniform lately - some kind of cute pj bottom and a soft t-shirt

03. last cd bought - the Bangles, Doll Revolution - long story short, I got one of the songs stuck in my head and everyone knows the only way to get a song out of your brain is to buy the cd (but I bought it used, so it's not nearly as heinous as me buying a Bangles cd new... right?)

04. what time do i wake up in the morning - lately... between 9:30 and 10-ish.

05. favorite kitchen appliance - I'd say my new set of amazing Calphalon pans (housewarming gift from my dad) but I guess those don't really qualify as an appliance, do they? So I'd go with my coffee maker - because it makes coffee, the most necessary liquid in the world.

06. if i could play an instrument - I could go for the cheap joke and say "skin flute", but I won't - I'd like to play drums, drummers are always insane - usually in a good way (even though I have a weakness for bassists).

07. my favorite color - right now, it's pink, but it changes periodically

08. prefer suv, car or truck - I drive an older Mercedes, but nothing beats an SUV for hauling crap around... although, I'd really love a mini cooper because they're about the cutest things EVER.

09. do i believe in the afterlife - Um, hello, has no one seen the documentary series on Showtime, "Dead Like Me"? Of course there's an afterlife.

10. favorite children's book - "Green Eggs and Ham" - could you, would you in a boat?

11. favorite season - Fall, the color changes are spectacular and it cools down and you can eat stews and smell fireplaces.

12. if i had a superpower, what would it be - either time travel or mind reading.

13. what is your tattoo if you have one - I have 7 thankyouverymuch, and I've got two or three more in mind - currently (in order that I got them) I have a heart with an arrow through it, an abstract flower, a butterfly, a Cheshire cat, an abstract tiger, a string of punctuation and my pair of traditional swallows.

14. can you juggle - please, that requires coordination, I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time

15. who would i go back and talk to in the past - hmmm... that's a tough one - maybe Mark Twain or Frank Sinatra or Marilyn Monroe or Sylvia Plath or Virginia Woolf

16. favorite day - I'm unemployed, every day is the weekend, I don't have a specific favorite

17. whats in the trunk of your car - dog and cat hair, a skanky blue blanket, a cute little purse with roses on it, an "Employee of the Year" award from a company I used to work for, and three boxes of marbles (and no, I don't know why)

18. do i prefer sushi or hamburger - depends on my mood

19. favorite era of time - the forties and fifties, when women were women, steaks were big, neighborhoods were safe, and convertibles were huge and chromed.

20. favorite holidays - Christmas for the presents and Easter for the candy

21. favorite person in your life (other than your significant other/children) - since John Mayer isn't in my life (yet), my sister's about the coolest person ever

22. favorite flower - Gerber Daisies, Tulips, and Dahlias

23. what's my favorite meal - Fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, biscuits and butter and sweet tea... not that I've been living in the south too long or anything... (the actual best meal I've ever had was at the Palace Cafe in New Orleans and contained none of these elements - but that's neither here nor there)
