It's happening

I'm turning Southern.

It's been slowly happening since I got here, little things like automatically asking for "Sweet Tea" with my meals, making my own gravy, developing a recipe for my own buttermilk fried chicken, eating (and liking) grits, I don't even cringe anymore when someone calls me "sweetie" or "darlin'", but yesterday I realized that I've passed the point of no return - I've completely lost the ability to say "bye" like a normal person, everytime I try it comes out like "bah", soon I'll be saying "y'all" and looking to trade in my old Mercedes for a pick up truck.

I might as well give up and get a pair of overalls and some wheat to stick between my teeth.
