So, my team didn't win

But we skated our asses off and it was fun as hell and, most importantly, my makeup* looked fierce all night. It reminded me why I was in derby, it wasn't about derby politics or news coverage, it was just about the skating and and the game and the show. And, my team hasn't won any games yet this season, so it's not like we were under any pressure - if I were a competitive person, I might mind that, but I'm not, so I don't.

Of course, I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been hit by a train - I got knocked down a couple of times, nothing awful, but it's a general achiness**.

Speaking of feeling shitty, imagine how shitty I felt after I spent wasted 2 hours and 20 minutes of my life watching the new Spiderman movie today. The first two were cheesy enough, but this one was just ridiculous - 3 villians (How about developing a full, valid storyline for even one?), horrible dialogue, horrible acting (I would rather have dental surgery than watch one more minute of Kirsten Dunst and her snaggle teeth, and don't get me started on the part where Spiderman turns evil/emo and looks and acts like a Saturday Night Live parody of... something with guy-liner, flat-ironed black hair and finger guns all over the place) - the only redeeming part of the movie was yet another hilarious cameo from Bruce Campbell. Oh, and who knew that Ron Howard's daughter was so freaking cute? But, seriously, if you can avoid it, don't see this movie.

* totally shitty quality cell phone picture available here for your viewing pleasure - this is the only picture I took all night, I guess I was too busy, you know, skating and stuff. Hopefully I should have more pictures within a couple of days.

**that's totally not a word... or if it is, it's not spelled right
