Dear Whomever is in charge of the Crazy Horse Memorial Mountain thing in South Dakota -


You want $25 for me to come in and take a picture of your unfinished mountain? $25 US? To see something that's not done? I get that you're all idealistic and want to be non-profit and shit, but... well, you've been working on it since 1948 and all you've got done is Crazy Horse's head. If you want to draw more attention to this rich history and fascinating story, maybe you should take some of the government grants that you've been offered, finish the damn thing up and charge less than Disneyland.

In the meantime, I'll head a mile down the road, get out my camera and take a picture. For free. (And just in case no one has mentioned it to you, it only costs $8 to park at Mount Rushmore and that pass is good for a year. And Mount Rushmore is done. And it only took 14 years to carve)

Dear Flight Attendant with unidentifiable accent,

two things -

1) We're flying in to "SAN ANTONIO", not "Sen-toyn-en" or however the fuck you pronounced it.

2) You should NEVER EVER utter the phrase "Hmmm, I've never heard that noise before, I'll have to ask the pilot what it was" into the intercom on a plane full of people.

and P.S. that mystery sound was the plane landing on the ground, admittedly, it was a rough landing (hopefully that will improve after the pilot gets his license) but even I knew what the damn sound was. Dumbass.

  • if you really want to get technical Mount Rushmore was never completely finished. Money and time restaisted didn't allow them to finish it. The original design was to do all four president in stone to the waist. Just and FYI

  • Sad to see that there's been no progress in the Crazy Horse carving effort since my visit back in 1987. I see that the armpit hole hasn't changed either. I guess the fund raising isn't going so well.

    If they haven't already, they should just open up a Crazy Horse casino built in the shape of the mountain.
