can someone please explain to me how the fuck it's only thursday?

on my way to work, i saw a bumper sticker that said "winter sucks" - huh? i've heard of racism and ageism, but season-ism? what's next, time-ism? "3:17PM sucks"

  • Having lived in California for 18 years, I think I can say with some resolution that portions of the state don't even have the right to call December - February winter. Rain and 50 degree temps does not a blustery season make. :) That being said, there are some days here, oh say.... the single digit ones... where I'd love to be back in SoCal again. Not many, though.

  • Seasonism is still socially OK because there aren't any "season advocacy" groups that I'm aware of.

If I say (quite meaningfully) that winter blows, I don't get any angry letters from the North Wind or Old Man Winter or Santa or any other literary fictional characters associated with the winter months.

I'm going to stop this comment now because I realize how much of a dork I must seem like right now.
