License Plate o' the Day

"FELLON"

I can only think of two reasons one might want to have this particular word on one's vehicle:

1) His felony conviction is his proudest accomplishment, he worked long and hard, committing misdemeanor after misdemeanor before finally striking gold.

and

2) THE DMV told him that "GUD SPELLUR" was too long for the plate.

  • He was prowling the streets of Phoenix looking for trouble when there it was, the car of his dreams. It was parked in darkness on a street with so little foot traffic that you'd think it was quarantined.

He reached into his backpack and produced a slim jim, then deftly popped the locks. To his great surprise there was no alarm, and even better, the key was hidden above the sun visor.

Weeks later, after several hacks into the car theft database, no one had called the car in as stolen. Finally deciding that "finders keepers" was a legitimate statue of ownership, he took the car to the DMV to have it registered. When asked if he would like custom plates, he decided to be cute and have them say Fellon.

Epilog: Years later he would discover it was in fact his own car which he'd stolen. That's why no one had reported it stolen, and why the DMV had given him so little trouble when registering it. He would soon after die of embarrassment at the thought that he'd been a big poser all this time combined with the fact that he had misspelled felon.
