Pet Peeve of the moment

someone other than me: hey, did you get that email I sent you

me: The one with the numbers for the last three months? It's interesting how the numbers leveled off last month, but are starting to climb this month

s.o.t.m: yeah, did you get it?

me: ... um, no, it never got here

Can we all just agree, that if you ask someone about something, be it an email, a reality show, a Jennifer Lopez movie or anything in between, and that person answers in such a way as to convey an understanding of whatever you asked about, they have received it, seen it, own it on DVD, okay?
