It's like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a... fork

I don't recall having ever done a count, but I think it's safe to assume that I started out with the same amount of spoons as I had forks in my house, right? And yet, somehow, there seems to be a fork deficit in my house.

It happens every time - the dishwasher will be empty, all the dishes in the house will be clean and within an hour, I'll reach into the drawer for a fork and all we have left is that one small fork with the bent tines from getting caught in the garbage disposal.

Where the fork are all the forking forks going?

How do my little spoon cubbies in the silverware holder overflow, but not the fork cubbies?

Wouldn't it stand to reason that there are more use for spoons than forks?

Has someone broken into my house and taken some, but not all of the forks?

Has Ashton Kutcher run out of C-list celebrities to punk and now moved on the rest of us?

Seriously, what the fork?
