Just why????

1) Why did my house smell like tartar sauce when I got home from derby practice? I don't think I've ever had tartar sauce in this house, and does tartar sauce really have a smell? Now I want some fried fish. And hush puppies - mmmmm, hush puppies.

2) Why will I stay up until all hours of the night to watch "Pretty in Pink" on Showtime even though I own it on dvd (and VHS) and there's never anything on during the day.
