Dear Spotify,

Thanks for the email to notify me about new Red Hot Chili Peppers and Maroon 5 music, I'll be sure to jump in a time machine and notify myself in 1990* and myself in 2002**, respectively, because I'm sure they'll be excited.

* just kidding, as much as I tried, and as much as I was supposed to like them, being from Southern California and all, I was never a fan, my feelings for them teetered between ambivalence and mild dislike (which, of course, makes me even less of a fan now. Seriously)

** Actually, since their new song is about payphones, I think I might need to let 1990-me know about that one, too. She'll be anxiously awaiting their song about pagers and AOL.
