GRE, SAT, it's all a bunch of crap

Why is it that when you take a standardized test... you study for the stuff that you feel you aren't strong enough on... and completely avoid the stuff you are strong on? And then when you take the test, you do crappily on the stuff you're trying to highlight that you're good at???

My math score: incredibly high...so high, I would have never though I could have done so well. MIT should be knocking on my door pretty soon.

My verbal score: I'm pretty sure I did better on my SATs...that was 9 years ago... are i talk no good as then?
